What started out as a hobby has turned into a part time career for me in the hair extensions industry. I've always been good with my hands-crocheting, making crafts, needlepoint, etc., so the art of hair extensions came pretty easy.
I was encouraged to turn my hobby into extra income -a part time job where I could set my own hours and basically work when I felt like it so this is how I got into the business. While there are many gifted, artistic, and capable hair extensionists all over the country, what sets me apart from them is the price that I charge for my superior work. Today, the going rate for strand by strand hair extensions installed by a professional of my caliber runs between $1200-$2000 but my fee is well below that at $550 for a full head of micro rings. This is the most competitive price on the west coast. In addition, the price I charge for maintainence is also the best rate around at $50 per hour.
Obviously I'm not in it for the money! Gorgeous results and satisfied customers are my number one priority and this is what my business is based on.

Hair extensions are a BIG responsibility. They require extra care and attention because you will have more hair than what you are normally used to working with. While you will be thrilled with your gorgeous hair, you'll be spending a lot more time taking care of it---brushing it and getting the tangles out every single day, braiding it for swimming, and coming back every 4 -8 weeks or so for maintenance to keep it looking fresh and beautiful. As you can see, not only are hair extensions a financial investment, but they take a lot of time and effort, so make sure you are willing to make that commitment with both your time and money before taking the plunge!
